A través de las fotografías encontré la manera de preguntarme sobre el tiempo y de alguna forma, enfrentar la angustia a la que su muerte nos expone.
¿No es acaso cada foto un deseo de conservar los recuerdos? En mis trabajos casi siempre hay una ausencia. Una mirada que cuenta una historia de nostalgias y esperas, de tiempos soñados o tiempos perdidos.
Nacer, madurar y morir. Siempre el tiempo sentenciando cada momento irrevocable, y lo que perdura es el recuerdo.
Es así que el tema del tiempo siempre constituyó para mí una reflexión conflictiva: extendiéndose en el espacio entre el instante pasajero y la eternidad. Las fotos entonces constituyen como una antítesis de lo efímero y mi objetivo, a través de ellas, es narrar, contar mi historia y, por qué no, ser el espejo de la de otros.
Mi modo de hacerlo es través de la construcción de series de imágenes con una impronta poética donde la elección de cada locación, de la iluminación, la composición y el uso del color es fuertemente influenciada por la estética cinematográfica y la fotografía del mundo de la moda.
La fotografía fue el medio que encontré para comunicarme y al igual que la poesía, plagada de metáforas, me brindó una herramienta para lidiar con lo propiamente humano, enfrentar la existencia y fantasear entre lo fugaz y lo eterno.
